Scottish Action For Mental Health

Because this isn't just about cold water. It's about saving lives.

Our Why

Because ColdWaterCo was never created to be just another outdoor brand.

For many of us, mental health struggles aren't something we've only watched from a distance.

We've seen the struggle around us in our friends, our families, and in some cases, within ourselves too.

We've seen difficult periods, overwhelming moments, and the weight that people can carry silently every day.

What We Found

Along the way, we found something that genuinely helped us: getting outside, reconnecting with nature, and stepping into cold water.

Not because it fixes everything, but because it creates space to breathe, reset, and feel present again.

We've seen swim communities become support systems, and simple moments in nature make people feel less alone.

Why SAMH

In Scotland, suicide rates are some of the highest in the UK.

For many of us at ColdWaterCo, this isn't just a statistic, it's deeply personal. Mental health struggles have touched our families, our friends, and our swim circles.

That's why we're proud to support SAMH: Scottish Action for Mental Health, a charity working tirelessly to prevent suicide, offer crisis support, and promote recovery across communities in Scotland.

How You Help

A portion of every ColdWaterCo sale goes directly to SAMH's work.

From support programmes and education to community outreach, your purchase helps provide support to people who need it most.

We're not just wrapping people in warmth. We're helping carry them through darkness, one swim at a time. Because cold water changes lives. And sometimes, it helps save them.
